Course Aim:
Maintaining fire safety at work is not an option. By law, businesses must ensure that their systems and procedures meet minimum legal requirements, with the right plan and hardware in place to help keep staff and visitors safe, should the worst happen. This course will give you a firm understanding of the principles of fire safety, the nature of fire and fire prevention. You will also gain a practical introduction to fire precautions, firefighting equipment and evacuation procedures.

- Understand Legislation relating to Regulatory Reform(Fire Safety) Order
- Understand chemistry of fire and how it spreads
- Understand the hazards associated with fire and classes of fire

- Understand the need to have alarms and how they are raised
- Understand fire plans and means of escape
- Understand the types of fire extinguishers and their uses
