Course Aim:
If you use a safety harness while working at heights, then this is the course for you. It covers the current legal obligations regarding the use of fall protection equipment and it will equip you with the core knowledge and skills required to visually inspect the equipment, don a harness, then doff it and store and maintain safety harnesses.

Course Objective:
At the end of the course, candidates will:
- Understand the main aims of Health & Safety Legislation (H&SWO 1978 NI, Work at Height 2005 Regulations, Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations, Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992 and Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1999 NI
- Identify typical components of the safety harness
- Understand the importance of correct use and dangers of incorrect use
- Carry out a visual and tactile inspection and storage
- Understand SG4; The principles of Fall Prevention
- Principles of Fall Arrest Harness and Attachments
- Principles of Restraint Lanyards and Anchorage Points
- Donning & Doffing Procedure
