Course Aim:
This course is aimed at anyone who is responsible for carrying out statutory scaffold inspections on basic scaffold structures. On completion of the course, you will have the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out an inspection of system scaffold and work platforms and prepare accurate written reports of such inspections.

Course Objective:
At the end of the course, candidates will:
- Understand the main aims of Health & Safety Legislation (H&SWO 1978 NI, Work at Height 2005 Regulations, Management of Health & Safety at work Regulations, Construction Design & Management Regulations 2007, Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1999 NI
- Identify typical components of system scaffold
- Understand the importance of stability and load bearing
- nderstand the hazards associated with erecting and dismantling system scaffold
- Identify suitable methods of bracing & tying system scaffold
- Carry out risk assessments on erecting and dismantling system scaffold
- Understand the requirements in relation to the need to inspect system scaffold in accordance with the regulations
- Carry out a visual inspection and complete the appropriate report

This course is available for anyone who has the responsibility for conducting and recording statutory scaffold inspections
